Bio

 

Amy Thorn is a graduate of Ball State University with a BS in Music Education and Voice. Her undeniable talent and her melodic Soprano voice earned her an opportunity to tour Internationally with the program Up With People.  Amy has also performed with Contagious Entertainment in ATL GA, as an interactive entertainer singing and dancing, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and has traveled the country performing in nightclubs, talent conventions and other venues for special events.

She has recorded with numerous renowned producers around Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles and Sweden.  In 2005 Amy released her first original song “Mable’s Christmas.”  The song was played on five different continents all over the world and was in the top ten NCM European chart.  Soon after she released her first solo ablum, Night Cap, a smooth, sensual, contemporary twist of hot jazz standards.  She is currently working on her second album.

Not only is Amy a talented performer but also a highly respected singing/acting coach to add to her credits. She has coached several actors and singers which have performed on stage, Broadway, television and film.  Her perfect eye for talent and precise ear for music has landed her several key positions in the industry.  John Robert Powers, PR Director/Recruiter, AMTC Direct Coordinator, Singing/Acting Coach at The Actor’s Scene for 5 years, ITS Acting/Singing Coach where Amy traveled around the country every weekend teaching.  Amy also owns her own business Song in My Heart Acting/Vocal Studio where she teaches group and private acting/vocal lessons.  She has coached for: John Robert Powers—Atlanta, GA; Applause Models and Talent –Cleveland, OH; Believe Models and Talent—Atlanta, GA; Marion Webb Modeling Agency—Carrolton, GA; Carolina Talent—Charlotte, NC; AGI Performing Arts School—Marietta, GA; The Red Chair School–Burbank, CA; Kids Music N Motion–Los Angeles, CA; Rage Models and Talent–Calabassis, CA; Talent Fusion–Indianapolis, IN;  and Epiphany Modeling Agency—Peachtree City, GA.  She currently teaches out of her home in Indianapolis, IN and at Meridian Music in Carmel, IN.
